Originally from Netherlands in the late 18th century, Stroopwafels are thin waffle cookies filled with caramel syrup. Traditionally, theyre warmed by placing them atop a hot cup of cider, coffee or tea, softening the filling for a chewy, delicious treat. Stroopwafels pair perfectly with a cup of Aspen mulled cider.
